Stidd Leaves the Pharaoh

After serving on the Pharaoh for some years and being promoted to commander, Stidd chose to leave Star Fleet and pursue other avenues.  His time on the Pharaoh was memorable, but towards the end left him empty inside.  He needed to find other venues for his skills.

Stidd's True Mission

Stidd had received orders from Star Fleet Intelligence that he was to join in a covert operation that would put him at severe risk.  Stidd already had a strong working knowledge of Romulan culture.  This plus the fact that the Romulans had no knowledge of him made him perfect for the undercover role he was to play.  Stidd was sent to infiltrate the Praetorate on Romulus and send back any intel he could gain.  He was very capable in his role as a Minister of Science until a lab accident put him in severe jeopardy.

He was testing a new way to tie their cloaking device into their warp drive for added power and elimination of the particle trail that, until now, had given them away.  During the test there was a massive explosion in the lab that had metal fragments ripping through his body.  Only with the help of a Romulan spy was his life saved and his return to the Federation made possible.  It was not without its problems, however.  He now has among other things an artificial heart.
